The Bear & The Octopus

The Bear & The Octopus — two worlds meeting at a shoreline at night

The Bear is waiting at the mouth of the den. · The Octopus is waiting where the tidepool meets the sea.

where the loops cross

The bear won’t come out; the octopus comes out as whoever you need. One hides in the den; the other hides in plain sight, wearing the room’s colors. Both disappear — just in opposite directions. The octopus reads exactly what the bear needs to hear (“no pressure, stay in, it’s fine”) and the bear, relieved, lets it. It feels like kindness. It’s two creatures agreeing not to be seen.

one small thing to try together

Next time the loops cross: the octopus says one true thing it actually wants — not what would make the bear comfortable. The bear comes to the doorway and just listens, without retreating. Neither performs for the other. One real sentence, one open door. That’s a lot, for the two of you.

the door

If you both read this far, you already know.

Two patterns, one room. When the door opens, the app shows you where they cross — and one small way through. No noise before then.

Leave an address the meeting can find.

iOS app. One note when the door opens — nothing before.
