Account and sign-in

Unloop on iPhone signs you in with Apple or Google. There is no password to set and no password to forget.

Trouble signing in with Apple or Google

  • Check that you have an internet connection, then close Unloop fully and open it again.
  • For Sign in with Apple: open the Settings app, tap your name at the top, then Sign-In & Security, then Sign in with Apple. Unloop should be listed there.
  • If you chose Hide My Email when you signed in with Apple, our replies go to your private relay address, which forwards to your real inbox. Check your spam folder if you are expecting a reply.
  • If Apple or Google sign-in fails repeatedly, email us and tell us which one you used. We can look up the account from our side.

What to try if your account looks empty

Almost every time, this is one of two things.

  • You signed in with a different method than last time. Unloop keeps a separate account for each sign-in method. If you first used Sign in with Apple and later tapped Continue with Google, you landed in a brand new, empty account. Your original account is untouched. Sign out from the Profile tab, then sign back in with the method you used the first time.
  • You were using Unloop as a guest. If you never signed in, your work lives on that device only, and it does not follow you to a new phone. Open the Profile tab and tap Create account to keep it.

One thing worth knowing: the Unloop website signs in with Google or with an email and password, and does not yet offer Sign in with Apple. So if you created your account with Apple on your iPhone, use the iPhone app to reach it. Nothing is lost either way.

How to delete your account

  • On iPhone: open the Profile tab, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete account. Confirm when asked. This is immediate and permanent, and it deletes your account along with everything you have built in Unloop. If you signed in with Apple, iOS will ask you to confirm with Apple once more so we can fully disconnect the two.
  • On the web: go to Settings, scroll to Danger Zone, and use Request Deletion. That sends the request to us and we complete it for you.
  • Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel that separately in your Apple subscription settings. See below.

Unloop will never ask you for a password, a one-time code, or an Apple or Google verification code. Never email those to us or to anyone who says they are Unloop support. We do not need them to help you, and we will never ask.

Subscriptions and billing

Unloop offers two subscription plans:

  • Annual, which includes a free trial.
  • Monthly, which does not include a free trial. Apple allows one introductory offer per person per subscription, and ours is on the annual plan.

The trial length and the exact price in your local currency are shown inside Unloop before you confirm anything, and again in your Apple subscription settings. Purchases are billed by Apple to your Apple Account, not by Unloop.

Manage or cancel your subscription

Your subscription is managed by Apple, so cancelling happens in Apple settings rather than inside Unloop.

  • Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, then tap Unloop.
  • Or go to apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. The Manage subscription link in the Unloop Profile tab opens this same page.
  • If you are in a free trial and do not want to continue, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Apple charges the renewal inside that last day.
  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

Restore purchases

If you reinstalled Unloop or moved to a new iPhone and your subscription is not showing:

  • Sign in first, using the same Apple or Google account you had when you subscribed. Restore cannot match a purchase to a signed-out device.
  • Open the Profile tab and tap Restore purchases.
  • Make sure your iPhone is signed in to the same Apple Account that made the original purchase. Apple ties the subscription to that account, not to the device.

Refunds

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by Unloop. We are not able to issue them ourselves. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com using the Apple Account that made the purchase. Email us anyway if something went wrong. We would rather know.

Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. Removing Unloop from your iPhone leaves the subscription running and it will keep renewing. Cancel it in your Apple subscription settings first.

Common troubleshooting

Voice or microphone not working

Presence is the part of Unloop where you talk out loud and your character talks back. It needs microphone access to work.

  • Open the Settings app, scroll down and tap Unloop, then turn on Microphone. You can also check Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Microphone, and confirm Unloop is switched on.
  • Check the ring or silent switch on the side of your iPhone, and turn the volume up. If you hear nothing at all, that is usually why.
  • If you are connected to AirPods, a car, or another Bluetooth device, audio may be going there instead. Disconnect it and try again.
  • Presence is a live conversation, so it needs a stable internet connection. It struggles on weak or public Wi-Fi.
  • Presence is part of a paid subscription. If it is locked, check the Profile tab to confirm your subscription is active, and tap Restore purchases if it is not showing.

Anything else acting up

  • Close Unloop fully and open it again.
  • Check your internet connection.
  • Update to the latest version of Unloop from the App Store.
  • Restart your iPhone.
  • If it involves your subscription, tap Restore purchases in the Profile tab.

Contacting support

Email hello@unloop.so and include as much of this as you can. It usually saves a round trip:

  • Your Unloop app version. Open the Profile tab and scroll to the bottom, where it says App version.
  • Your iOS version. Open Settings, then General, then About, and look for Software Version.
  • Your device model, for example iPhone 14 Pro.
  • A screenshot of what you are seeing, and what you were doing just before it happened.

Please do not paste private journal entries, Presence transcripts, or personal reflections into a support email unless they are genuinely necessary to explain the problem. A screenshot of the error is almost always enough. If you do need to send something personal, we use it only to resolve your request.

Privacy and account deletion

Our Privacy Policy covers what Unloop collects, how it is used, and how it is stored.

  • Delete on iPhone: Profile tab, scroll to the bottom, tap Delete account, then confirm. It happens right there in the app, permanently, and cannot be undone.
  • Delete on the web: Settings, then Danger Zone, then Request Deletion. This sends the request to us and we complete it.
  • If you cannot get into your account: email hello@unloop.so from the address on the account. We will verify it is you and delete it for you.
  • Remember that deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel that in your Apple subscription settings.
